Collect urine mid-catch meaning 1st drop and last drop are not to be included in the collection of urine.

Collect 1st voided urine in the morning.

Had bowel movement prior to procedure. May take dulcolax a day before bed time for bowel movement the next day prior to procedure.

Drink plenty of water. Procedure requires a full bladder.

Fasting for 6-8 hours. (no food and water intake)

Upon waking up, collect sputum. Do not brush teeth, drink water and eat before collection.

Fasting for 10 to 12 hours prior to blood extraction (No food and water intake)

Full meal 2 hours before blood extraction

Full meal an hour before extraction of blood

No intake of red meat for 3 days prior to examination

Void at 8 am and discard the specimen then start collecting all urine thereafter including the final specimen voided at the end of the 24 hr collection perion (8 am of the following day). Keep specimen on ice during collection.

Fasting for 6 to 8 hours (no food and water intake)
